My dad’s Malaysian, mum’s Hong Kong. They met in Singapore. He worked in Hong Kong for a while, but they never met except for this one time where my mum’s friend said he saw my dad in Hong Kong once, in this halal restaurant in a table across the room. But my mama didn’t see him, her friend did. Can you imagine they very nearly crossed paths but God fated that they really finally meet in an entirely different country? The math does seem impossible. But Allah works in unimaginable ways subhanAllah. You do that math.
